The Grand Scenic is a compact 7SEAT MPV with reasonable room in all three rows . Quality is strong, too, equipment levels are decent and it's good to drive. The Grand Scenic lives up to its name in this respect. You do feel quite grand when you are sitting in it because you get comfy seats, a high driving position and, thanks to Renault's efforts to increase visibility from the front, it's all rather scenic.
Here's something you can't argue with. In Euro NCAP crash tests the Grand Scenic scored the full 37 points to give it a five star rating for adult occupancy protection. There are six airbags that comprise adaptive front airbags (airbags that mould to the body of the occupants), thorax airbags and curtain airbags. Then there's energy absorbing headrests, Isofix child-seat fittings, ABS, emergency brake assist and stability control with understeer control. An alarm and immobiliser are standard.
