Everyone likes to get the cheapest deal; whether insurance, utility bills or your next new van, you want to ensure that you decide on the best option for you. At VanLease UK we firmly understand our customers want to benefit from great van deals with the ever-increasing costs for running vans, insurance prices, fuel prices etc
While Vanlease UK are no different to our customers, in that we love a great deal, there are a couple of steps you can take in order to make the most out of your research. As a matter of course, some clients will liaise with handfuls of suppliers, only to get confused about specification, prices or finance methods; easily done if you have too many people on the go.
Our number 1 tip is to speak to no more than 3 potential suppliers and ensure you receive quotations which are exactly the same, in terms of initial rental, term, mileage, specification and finance method. By adjusting just one of these elements, a quotation can appear unfavourably better than another, for example if an initial rental is £1000 more than the others.
Our number 2 tip is to make sure you are comfortable with the suppliers you are talking to. It is very easy to advertise your products online but, as a customer, you should ensure that the company is affiliated with the BVRLA (British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association). In addition, if you have any concerns, you should request their consumer credit licence number, data protection number and company number (if applicable). Safety first
Number 3 on our list is to work out which “van leasing” product you are looking to obtain. While leasing can mean contract hire, finance lease or lease purchase, you need to understand what each of these entails and which best suits you requirements. For example, if you are a builder or joiner with heavy van use, a finance lease option may be more preferable, as the vehicle will not be returned (and inspected) unlike contract hire. Conversely low-level van users, like a florist, may simply want to run a van for 3 or 4 years and simply return the van.
Moving onto Number 4; the budget. At the outset, try and work towards a budget which suits your requirements. While the Mercedes Sprinter deal may be fantastic, if it goes beyond your budget, is this really what you want? Also work out an initial rental which is affordable to you, whether a no initial rental option or enhanced initial rental. All of these will impact on the monthly budget.
And finally number 5 … ascertain what van you are a looking to lease e.g. a small van, tipper or double cab. While there may be offers on commercial vehicles which might not quite fit your requirements, you need to consider that this vehicle is an essential tool to you and therefore you should not compromise on your original mandate.
We are not just about the great van deals; great service and fleet management also form part of our offering. With a track record that is simply second to none and funding from the three biggest funders, we are able to meet customer expectations time after time. After the deal has been completed, you can be assured that the process does not end there; our entire team are here to help when you need it most. Now; that is a great deal!
