Whilst this article is specific to the BMW i3, most of the content is applicable to all electric and hybrid-electric cars.
On two occasions at CarLease UK, we have had the pleasure of a long term test of a BMW i3 REX. In both cases it was the latest version with the new longer range plus Range Extender.

So, you’ve leased a new i3, can you charge it at home?
Leasing or Buying a BMW i3 entitles you to an Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) grant. This will give you up to £500 off the cost of a fully installed charge point at home. Certain criteria need to be met, and off-street parking needs to be available to charge your i3. You can choose any OLEV approved installer once you have arranged your EVHS grant. I charged the i3 at home many times without incident.
